and its senses have been an inexhaustible source of aesthetic inspiration of all times.
This general concept characterizes the
drawings and oil paintings of the Ecuadorian artist Carlos Viver."

"The spectator gets absorbed by a deep forest of fluid winding lines that sometimes remind
vegetal forms, sometimes suggest psychic automatism, in which the hand of an artist is lead
directly by the Unconscious, the Spontaneous. (Still, who can be sure, where exactly ends
reason and intention and starts the Unconscious in the creative process?) From the depths
of this forest emerge female bodies or, better to say, parts of bodies, allusions of bodies, visions
of temptation. This sophisticated combination of flesh and vegetal elements, composed
of vibrating interweaving lines seems to be in constant dynamic, in tireless movement, showing
